About Ekoyams

Eko Yams is an agricultural project centered on the cultivation of yams in Lagos State (Eko), with the aim of feeding Lagosians with food cultivated and processed in Lagos. It is a project that is structured as a United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2 intervention that aims to achieve “zero hunger” by 2030.

 The project is designed and managed by Flap Alausa Multipurpose Co-Operative Society in Partnership with Assetrise Limited, with a mission to support the United Nation’s goal to end hunger, achieve food security, and promote sustainable agriculture – in Lagos State.

We Are a United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2 Intervention Organization

Sustainable Development Goal 2 aims to end hunger, achieve food security, and promote sustainable agriculture. By bridging the deficit in Lagos State, Eko Yams is a United Nations SDG 2 intervention to ensure the world achieves this goal by 2030.

Eko Yams support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2 by solving the food system challenges in Lagos State one household at a time.

EKO 5 Million Yams

Eko 5 Million Yams Project is an agricultural project to feed Lagosians with yams cultivated in Lagos State.

The project is powered by Flap Alausa Multipurpose Co-Operative Society, in partnership with Assetrise Limited. It will involve the cultivation of five million tubers of yams in Epe, Lagos State.

The project will offer Lagosians yams at affordable prices – more than 40% less than the current market price of yams which is often affected by the high costs of transportation from the Northern part of Nigeria.
